Scenarios
I take great pride in the amount of detailed preparation I go into before running any media training course. Rather than exposing delegates to a series of random questions on a range of subject areas, I prefer to carefully research the media situations they are most likely to face, and develop realistic scenarios to suit them.
I also encourage them to plan and structure their interviews using a range of tools and techniques that apply to any situation. That way, delegates leave courses with the ability to face a variety of interview types with confidence, but also benefit from a thorough testing of how to deal with live subject areas directly related to their business.
