Who I am
I’m a freelance public relations consultant with over a decade of UK and international communications experience. I’ve worked for a wide variety of organisations, including globally-renowned blue chip companies, public sector organisations, charities and SMEs.
My early training as a communications officer within the NHS and most recently as number two within a crisis and issues agency has ensured I have developed excellent all-round experience that means I can turn my hand to almost any communications challenge.
Added to that is eight years based in the UK and Brussels working for one of the world’s largest PR consultancies, meaning I have hands-on experience of managing complex programmes across international borders for some of the globe's most well-known companies.
My core passions are media training, handling sensitive issues and internal communications, and I still get a buzz from generating excellent media coverage in business and consumer media, even after years of seeing the results of my work broadcast and in print.
My big agency, blue chip background, coupled with my experience of working with public sector organisations and smaller companies fighting for a share of voice, means businesses working with me can access a wealth of knowledge. However, my flexibility means they only use me when they need me, and pay a fraction of the rates they might otherwise have to.
